Hi there,
Glad to know that you still got it. I would be making payment for it
with a bank certified check, I have a shipper that would come and pick
it up once the payment has been settled. I want you to email me your
full name and address where the check should be sent (i.e. including
your city, state and zipcode). and your contact cell #, perhaps if I
need to call you. I’ll be expecting your reply asap.

*** Note that the payment will be mailed to your address as soon as i
get the information ***

Have a great day.

back to you promptly.

I did reply with my address and cell #, wish I had Googled him before I did, but here is the last e-mail I received from him:

From: Jennifer & Steven Voight
Date: 04/16/11 02:44:22
To: Pamela Berg
Subject: Re: 2005 FlagStaff 22′ PopUp Camper – $4000 (Merrill, WI)

I’ll forward your payment information to my Secretary right now
(because I’m busy at a Seminar right now) and I’ll touch base with you
with the payment tracking # once I’ve confirmed from my Secretary that
the payment has been sent to you. Please be informed that I’ll be
including my shipper’s fund too on the amount that would be on the
check which you would help me send to them through Moneygram Office in
your area. I will also include my shipper’s information in the mail
for your confirmation. And kindly remove the AD from CL to avoid
disturbance from other buyers.

Thanks for your total understanding.

God blessing and protection over you and your entire household.

Sincerely yours
Steven

Could you let me know if you still got this for sale? Get back to me asap.
Thanks – Steven

After this e-mail, I replied to tell him I would not be releasing the camper to anyone until the funds had cleared the bank and also that I was wondering why he wasn’t paying his own “shipper” and that I was concerned this was a scam. So far have not received any reply to this and I kind of think I won’t, he must realize I’m on to him? Please beware!

I too have been contacted by this person. Seemed fishy that he wanted me to take care of the shipping. After I hinted that i was suspicious he replied saying that it would be less time consuming to have me pay the shippers and he understood that I’d want the check to clear before shipping. I googled him and found this. It was enough to give me cold feet about the whole thing. Thanks to this i was able to tell him to get lost.

  4. Colleen says:

I was contacted by someone from this number concerning a cement mixer I have for sale on Craigslist…but this time his name is Jason Hirsch. Same m.o., though…he would be sending a bank check…even though I stated in the ad “cash only”. It sounded suspicious so I googled him and I’m glad I did!

Thanks to this website I too, am on to him. Same verbage in the emails as if he cuts and pastes his responses.

So pleased that I did not go through with this..

    Everyone beware of Steven Voight.

  7. I’ve had the same person contact me as well about my guitar on Craigslist. In my position, I Google everyone I come across. Call it habit, I guess. What’s hilarious, is that even before I replied to his first email, I read several sites and forums about this age-old scam and have been messing with him through several email communications. I’ll post the entire thread as soon as he gives up with the insults.

    Kimberly, Jacksonville, NC

  8. Ok – hope this isn’t too long. Continuation of my post yesterday. I deleted everything but the body of some of the emails back and forth for space. I happened upon this site before our actual communication began, so trolling him was actually amusing. Also, substituting an asterisk for the nsfw parts. Starts at the bottom:

Trollololololol hahaha. Is Stevie all mad because someone won’t play his game?

Let’s go ahead and address your hilarious and trite concerns, shall we? I’ll brush off your one syllable attempt at an insult. You know, the old ‘sticks and stones’ idiom. Trace the IP address of my business mobile device? Sure. Even if that wasn’t public knowledge, and even if you miraculously did manage to get my home address, (which is also public knowledge, and proves you have an iq of about 87 and can use a search engine) praytell what would you do with it? Visit me? Heh, come on over. Let’s see, what else…bi**h? Absolutely. Ass? Quite. Moth**f***er? Well…not since Tuesday, at least.

Tata for now. In the meantime, here’s a good read for you. If you like it, ill send more: http://www.scamradar.com/reports/2736/beware-steven-jennifer-voight.html

Lol what, I can’t have fun with a con artist? A terrible scammer like yourself should maybe learn some basic phishing principles. You’re an idiot. Plus, Google yourself, or anything you’ve copied and pasted into your previous emails. Write something original. Better yet, I’d have more respect for you if you snatched grammas purse for money. Wasn’t’t even a good try.

Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone

    nah…smart ass!

Haha, yes I know that. Good job, you used Google and copy-pasted that quote from a well known review site.

Well, who is your shipper? If its not UPS I can guarantee you are paying too much. In any case, just send me the $799. If you want it shipped, I’m not messing w that. You can send it wherever you like. Just email me the shipping label and ill drop it off. Good enough?

You know the Special Edition Koa Stratocaster guitar marks the first
time that Fender used exotic and highly sought-after koa wood in an
instrument outside Custom Shop models. You don’t need to worry about
shipping, my shipper would handle the shipping, you just let me know
when the check has cleared ok.

    Thanks – Steven

You play? Awesome. I like the floating tremolo on the limited edition Koa… what do you think? It makes for some great jazz and blues sounds.

Actually, I have a business shipping account. It would be cheaper for both of us. I’ll just get your address and ship it that way. What address should I send it to?

Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone

It would be shipped to Oregon for me. Pls be informed that I’ll be
sending you a check of $1,950 and you should deduct your money and
send the difference via western union to my shipper info I’ll provide
with the tracking #. My shipper would need the remaining money for
shipping all the items I’ve bought and also for documents procurement.

    Thanks – Steven

If you prefer. You still haven’t answered where this is going? This was a very special piece to me, id like to know. You can send a certified check to my business … S******** T*****, Care of Kimberly B*******, Internet Sales Manager @ 2*** N Marine Blvd, J***********, NC 2***6

Send me the tracking number on your check, please. Have a nice day.

    Kimberly

No…I’ve been scammed like that before. I may be born yesterday but
not last night! I’ll rather prefer sending you check & when it clears
your bank we can proceed on shipping!

Nope. I don’t know any Sarah’s. Anyhow, trying to sell this guitar pretty quickly. Let me know if u wanna proceed.

Anyhow, the email address you can forward the funds to via paypal is [email protected]. let me know when its done and ill check my account. Then we can go from there 😉

Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone

Lol…you’re such a mind reader! Are you Sarah Freider????

You do know that paypal is instant, right? Just send it that way. Where is it going to?

Listen, if you forward your payment information to me right now, I’ll
forward it to my Secretary today & touch base with you with the
payment tracking number & my shipper’s information with a signed note
from me to confirm that my shipper would be assuming the
responsibility of picking it up on my behalf. I’ll expect your reply
    asap. Thanks – Steven.

    Something like that?

Where is this going to be sent? My number should be listed on my ad, its (910) 3**-1**7. I would prefer a paypal transaction. It’s safer and more immediate funding.

    Thanks,

I would be glad if you could furnish me with more information about
you. Preferably if you could forward your Resume. I have a privately
    owned
business and I am currently seeking for the service of a personal
assistant and a customer service rep. I would really appreciate your

Could you let me know if you this got this for sale? What’s the last
    asking price?
    ~Steven~

    Hello,

I’m 25 and certainly a mature candidate. Attached is my resume. I have been a personal assistant prior to and believe I would be a very valuable asset to your company.

    Thank you for your interest,

    Hi there,
I have once again read through your resume and noticed that you have
the requisite qualities to function in capacity of the job position I
may perhaps consider you for. However, there are certain standards
required for you to be offered this job position. This entails you
answering the following highlighted questions: –

    1. Can you handle cash transactions properly without any form of complication?
    2. Do you have any criminal record?
    3. How many hours can you work on daily basis?
    4. Are you currently working with any other organization?
    5. Do you have Credit Card?
    6. Do you operate a bank checking account?
    7. Can you work independently with minimum supervision?
    8. Do you have means of transportation?
    9. If you are considered for the job position can you commence working
for me immediately without any form of hindrance?
    10. Will you be disturbed or distracted from your duties by any form
    of family issue?

Only answer the above questions by simply stating YES or NO. Your
    prompt reply would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steven Voight

    Hello,
Thanks for your answers provided for the questions asked. May I inform
you that receiving payments from my clients and handling cash
transactions on my behalf entails two options, which I noticed to
provided positive answers for in your reply.

Specifically, for you to handle cash payments from my clients you must
have a Capital One Bank Checking Account and the daily deposit limit
of Account has to be known to me. Likewise, what is your credit card
daily deposit and withdrawal limit? What type of checking account do
you have and what is the daily deposit limit?

I want you to furnish me with these information asap.

    Thanks for keeping in touch.

    Sincerely yours
    Steven Voight

    Hello,
I don’t understand what you mean exactly by “what is your credit card
daily deposit and withdrawal limit” or why you would need to know what type of checking account I have? Daily deposit limit? What sort of company do you run exactly and where are you located?

I live in New Hampshire so I don’t think this would work. I also would not want to provide my credit information to someone I have never met before. I have never been asked questions of these sort and find it a bit odd.

When you receive payments from my clients all you need to do is to
remit it to the account department agent. This is a work from home
position. And I see nothing odd in asking for your credit card limit.
I don’t need your info for anything and if you don’t feel comfortable
working with me you can easily opt out.

    Thanks
    Steven

You might want to try googling yourself..appears you are a scam
    Jennifer & Steven Voight

I run a merchandising business and I’m also into oil and gas business.
I’m currently in California and my main office is in Texas, precisely
Amarillo. I’m requesting for the information to know what type of
financial transactions range you’ll be scheduled to handle on my
    behalf.

Your credit card daily deposit and withdrawal limit I asked for simply
means the maximum amount that you could receive and take out from your
credit card per day. I also mean what kind of bank do you use. And can
you open a capital one bank checking account? Can you receive as much
as $5,000 per day on your credit card? Or how much can you take in?

    Thanks for your quick response.

The Vioghts tried to get me too only I knew they are crooks scamers. I wonder how many people they have taken. I had a camper and they wanted me to also forward the “money to the shipper” really why can’t you. When I emailed that the company check they used was a fraud they asked if I was sick, no and I not dumb either. Last time I heard from them. I have emailed everyone I know about these two.
Always beware of ant one who asked you to forward money to some one else. Also some banks won’t tell you if the check is bad. Always call the check owner.
Certified checks have water marks and have one edge that is not smooth. because they tear them off a roll.
