I run a private accounting firm and am currently looking to strengthen my organizational structure by adding a Personal Assistant that works part time.

You are paid a constant $2000 monthly working from your home with an offer to make extra $100 – $500 once your honesty as been established ,also if you are willing to work full time which can be decided after the first month as a part time employee.
** You will need to have constant Internet access to work on this Job** •A colored printer • {Versa Check Gold 2008 and Business size checks ‘ as your working kit’} •You only work a maximum of an 2 or 3 daily.
Please note that everything purchased while working on your Job during the course of the month will be reimburse to you along with your monthly payment.

I received an email from Micheal stating the exact things that are in the above letter. I did go out and purchase the Versa Check Gold 2008 Software but haven’t opened it and after reading this I will return it to get my money back $84.00. I couldn’t find any of the other things he wanted me to purchase for my “KIT” so
I don’t have to worry about returning any thing else……Thank God! I’m just grateful
to Marcia Rogeers for letting me and others know that Micheal Scofield is a scammer who just wants to take your money and time. Next time he IMS me I will definitely tell him off. This site states they have a program you can sign up for and make lots of money for only $2.95. Once you give them your credit card number to bill you for the $2.95 they scam you out of $97.00 without permission. I don’t have that kind of extra money to lose so I’m fighting to get it back. I’ve consulted an attorney and I’m in the process of filling out numerous bank forms to protest the withdraw from my account. well i was contacted by this micheal scofield as well. but fell for it. i was looking for work to stay home with my newborn, i was desperate to find work.. I’ve been working for him for about 3weeks now.. i havent received any money from him or paid him anything which is good, but i did spend about 300 on equipment.. It sounds so real..and i trust everyone.. but not anymore…… thankfully i only lost 300.00 but others have lost more…. i’ve contacted the Local police and The FBI and they are investigating this.. and I encourage others to do it as well so we can catch this creep…he is still tryijng to convince me that hes legit.. but i dont trust him or anyone for that matter… this creep needs to go to jail.. there are honest people out there who are looking for real work to support there families and this jack ass is taking advantage of that.. i hope he rots in hell……………i spoke with the FBI in Ft meyers fl and in cleveland OH so please call either one of these offices and report this creep.. .

Im also talking to Paul Solomon on yahoo messenger…turned the tables…he’s agreeing to $10,000 cash up front…when I said send it to my Po box he stopped talking. I assumed his next step was asking for bank information to wire me the money lol.
I am glad to see I was not the only one to fall for this. I had gotten the same thing after I applied for a job on Craig’s list. I bought the software, checks and ink and even bought the Versajette printer which I will now be trying to sell on eBay. My tip off was an UPS Representative who was upset with all the supplies that I was ordering from them for all the Next Day Air stuff that I thought I would be sending out. She told me that it was a scam and UPS was aware. I told her that I wasn’t aware of it! I felt like such a fool. I took the first list of names that I had sent checks to and found a phone number for one of the “clients” and called him and asked if he was expecting a $3,000 check. He said that he received it, but wasn’t expecting it. I got right off the phone and called the Sheriff’s Office and also called the UPS store where I had just dropped off 94 checks and had them hold them. I only did this for 4 days and am thankful that my part in this was limited.
I had to buy those exact items as others advised above. I was contacted by Monica Afred – mprecious4life@yahoo.com – who advised she was working for Goal Post Ireland out of Ireland. She just sent me another list of people to send checks to today to which I haven’t even responded.
Although I know it isn’t their fault, but one would think that Versa would put something on their site about these scams. They know that their business has increased lately because of people buying their software for this scam. Again I don’t think they are compliant in this, but they could help people like us. I know I went on their site to price out the supplies I would need.
Tara, I feel your pain. I’m out about $400, but more than that, I just don’t feel like I can trust anyone anymore. I used to think I was pretty smart about things, but even my friends who I had told of this job didn’t think it was shady. They do a good job of getting us to believe they are legit. Sorry to everyone else who got sucked into this. I just hope what I sent out to others doesn’t cause financial harm to them.
Don’t feel too bad. I shipped the packages through FedEx and racked up a bill of around $2,000 because I didn’t know how expensive the shipping was. I didn’t have time to check ’cause Matlock James kept me running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Not only that, some asshole calls me up and calls me a “crook” for sending him the check after I told his ass I was way more of a victim than he was. I broke up with my only love over this.
Then when I told FedEx, they didn’t give me any breaks. In fact, they charged me hundreds of dollars in collections fees because I could not afford to pay them. This sucks. I have a BS degree in Accounting but I had to fall for this kind of job.

Why would anyone do this?
I put out a resume (no personal info of course) on craigslist and I got this response. I was not looking for a job for money but with law firm experience as I am attending law school this fall. I had no intention of replying to this person but right away I knew it had to be a scam so I researched it and found this site.

Guys, I just read through your stories and feel bad, sorry these people are taking advantage of others. I found this web site because UPS dropped off a package at my house yesterday. Inside was a check for $3,350.75 Nice, but just a little too nice. There are two names on the check; AUAC – AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF ARMENIA CORPORATION with their correct addres and Wells Fargo Bank with their correct Bank Routing number on the bottom of the check. The package came from United Stationers Supply Company in IL, but the phone number referenced was in Miami (786-206-xxxx). Also, looked up the UPS tracking number and the package was sent from Richmond VA. What a scam!!!

I received an email and text message from Elijah Joe. He asked to communicate through yahoo IM. After adding elijoe0 to my I’M, I’ve received about 20 messages asking me to buy equipment, with the promise of reimbursement and $1800 a month… I knew this was a scam…. Add James Rubin to that I went to check my Yahoo mail after like 4-5 months and this guy pops up…I cut and pasted the whole conversation after he told me about printing checks. Number one I shouldn’t be printing anyones checks, I asked if it would cost me anything he said no. Then tells me I need these suplies.I knew something was wrong when he took too long to comprehend simple things. Anyways these creeps are still around they like to catch people on Yahoo messanger. he asked me for my name and number I told him you first he never gave a number so he got a bogus name rom me.
Actually about 3 years ago I recieved checks from a scam.Telling me to deposit and all that. When I saw the company name on the check I contacted the company right away and sent them the bogus check then notified the police on what I needed to do. a day or two later I get an email telling me how urgent it is for me to send the funds, I directed that person to the company whose fake check they sent me..then went off on whom ever it was…I ain’t about sending nobody money…I almost ell or that check printing scam…Thank you everyone or saving me the hell I would be in…I have anger issues.

friend receied a check for around $3000.00 asking to buy the stuff using $600 dollors and remaining to send wire to some else in London.
my friend deposited that check into his account and that got cashed..
now he is not sure whether to proceed this job or not after seeing this many posts ?
please guide my friend on this ..

check and its genuine. but i don’t no why your bank is not processing

I too received an email from Michelle Smith after I responded to a craigslist SCAM employment ad. HOWEVER I sent her a great email that I think all of you will really enjoy and you are welcome to use it!! I think it is extremely amusing & I am in the process of changing my resume so these idiots don’t have so much information. If an employer is serious they will contact you by phone. We all need a job but don’t be naive & gullible to these scams. Here is my response and her email:
