I did receive a check in the mail after I told Mr. Coleman I would be uncomfortable accepting money from a “company” before I had actually begun doing any work. I told him I needed to have a personal conversation with him, and I asked a ton of questions, all for which he had an answer. He claims to be in the Philippines on business, but is supposed to be flying into my hometown.

Either way, as soon as I got the check, I called the bank it was issued from. They informed me that it was a fraudulent check. I’ll speak with my local police department, but just a word of warning:

DON’T ACCEPT MONEY BEFORE YOU’VE DONE ANY WORK
