Rebecca was paid to build a website for me, after answering an ad I posted on Craigslist for a new website developer and host.

As she served as my host, Rebecca encountered hardship after hardship and eventually solicited funds to help her rebuild after her mobile home caught fire, damaging and killing her pets and burning to a cinder. Not only did I donate money to help her “get back on track”, Rebecca shared with me an “Amazon Wish List” in which I purchased items for her such as a canteen, a fan and a crock pot so that she could have the necessities she needed to help rebuild her life and function as my website developer and host.

Time progressed and things simply did not “add up” with Rebecca. I often felt I was being lied to and Rebecca seemed to have an opinion about things that she need not share her thoughts about. I decided to sever ties with her, professionally, and during that time, I had a credit of $345.00, USD with her.

Rebecca agreed to pay me the money back by using her online bank entitled “Simple” . Rebecca crafted a check, placed the amount owed on this online check with her supposed address, my address and her bank’s name. She emailed me a picture of the check and told me that this is “what I should be on the lookout for”.

THE CHECK NEVER ARRIVED AND THAT WAS BACK IN OCTOBER OF 2016. IT IS NOW MAY 1st, 2017 AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY MONEY!

I have contacted the Texas County Sheriff’s Office and filed an official police report and paid to have a demand letter for my funds sent to her by “snail mail” as well as electronically.

I have made attempts to recover my money, but Rebecca has blocked my phone numbers so that I cannot reach her and I am quite sure that she has blocked my email address so that she cannot read of my requests to send my money.

I also requested my money via her Facebook page, which has since been removed.

During her time as website and website host, Rebecca made a public plea for help, via “Go Fund Me”, offering potential clients websites if they donated to her rebuilding efforts after her fire.

She collected the sum of $3,289 with a $10,000 goal. Does this sound like someone who would not be able to refund me my $345?
