Aside from the comments that other people have left, did you stop to think why would the individual would need you to send him back money for air fare to the States when he’s a businessman and could probably very well afford it himself? Otherwise, if he really couldn’t afford the flight to the States, why would he send you more than what you need, only for you to return a portion of it back to him? The message has “SCAM” written all over it. Hope you didn’t fall for it.

Then he sent me the offered me the following job as an admin for $450/week and sent me the following letter. This fits into the Excess funds scam category. So, I rejected the offer.

I actually gave the check to the police the day I received it. They confirmed my suspicion that it was a scam. So, just wanted to help keep everyone updated…
