Davison have scammed me – offered to take on my product with no expense to me – then it was on – first of a fee for ‘pre-development’ – which I had been assured was underway – then their rep went AWOL. A month later, I got a new, ball breaking rep who knew nothing of my product and advised of upcoming pre-development….yet next call congratulated me for an upcoming sale to an interested buyer.
Received an email saying deal would be null and void in 24 hours if I didn’t take offer. Called them, waited for ‘mail’ which demanded $15000 in 24 hours AND a prototype was to be presented. Called again and was coached on how to get the money. When told them it was not possible – as told from the start, it got nasty. I was bullied – ‘you agreed to this, we have your signature’ – ‘well, there’s nothing further we can do for you.’
Checking agreement, they had not carried out any actions agreed to and what I paid for. Requested refund, told I had agreed there would be no refund. Well, they had agreed that they would help me and were actually putting teams into it.
Further request for refund with deadline resulted in “Call me” emails – that’s it.
From the start I admitted I was flat broke and had to borrow even the first fee – which I now am unable to pay back as my finances are desperate.
They have already had to pay out 26 million for fraud – I don’t have money for court!

I have been instructed by Davison to remove the above comment, and retract any statements on any sites or to any company assisting me in honestly getting my money back.
I will leave this comment here until the money is withdrawn – then I will remove it. The fact that Davison are aware of this, makes me feel a little worried for every other person hopeful that they are complaining to any person or group able to help. This is the second ‘scam’ site now that seems to be linked to Davison.
I received another letter this week asking if I am able to pay the $15000 to get my product to prototype stage, for presentation to a corporation. I have been told on two different occasions that my product idea has already been chosen for presentation – months ago, so I know that no one has a clue as to what is going on.
I have to wonder the legitimacy of this site. Mr Davison, as you will not contact me yourself but keep sending your ‘intimidating’ staff (or are they virtual as well?), please take it from me – I am not going to be harassed or bullied into submission. You have two options – pay me IMMEDIATELY – TODAY – my refund in full, or make me wait longer and understand i will be part of the new joint action being planned. Up to you.

I read your statements and I’m in the same situation. When I started question their methods, especially after receiving their so called Pre-Development report, I hit the proof. I had already done this research…they claim to have professional staff, exclusive product data research, patent research and compiled into a professional form…What a disgusting joke! They prey on the elderly, physically disabled, any one they can with their con game. On the complaintboard, a former employee lays everything on the line. The only thing Davison did, was change words around, continue to use deceptive and misleading statements and are still doing what they got sued for. We all need to come together and get what we deserve our money back, plus the constant harassment and threats. They owe us damages, punitive and more. If you also notice, their CCA has a lot to say and he makes alot of threats to people, even paying people to turn former employees, any one who speak the truth against them. If you realize it, they are making money off of us…we take all the risk, they taken none but our money. Example with this Pre-Development, I borrowed $745.00 and they knowing I had no money, but if for an example 5000 put up 745.00 a day;$3,725,000.00 that they bring in ripping good hearted people off. What is the real shame in all this, the people they are ripping off are actually trying to make life better for themselves and others. Also notice how many times Davison has changed their name; if they were legitimate, they would have the need too! The BBB gaves Davison an F rating. I want my full refund and more! We need to stop them from scamming and hurting other people as well. They’re giving legitimate companies a bad name, to the point, it’s impossible to recognizes a legitimate company. What do you say, how can we all pull together and do something about it?
I am talking with a Davison rep right now about my so called Idea,I have to admit I was going right along with it hyped that I might be able to make a some money.Thank you for posting this although they never are going to get my money I was sure thinking about it .I am sorry to hear they got your money but if it means anything at least,you helped stop them from getting another persons money.I even told them That I was so hurting for money and my wife is sick with cancer and he did not even bat a eye lash.Is there anyway I would be able to know what rep you talked you.I would like to help in anyway if it is possibe if I can to you I am willing to write a statement saying they promised a lot of things and If I had not been alarmed and decided to check them out I would have gone and borrowed the money which I am glad now that I did not
The names that conned me were Tom Smith (I should have known with one of the most common names in the western world) – this guy was so sweet but after about the 3rd call, it became obvious he was reading the same script each time – only after I started listing my own questions, was he no longer available. His first response to my own questions was “Look Lulu, I am late for a meeting (it was only 7am in the US!) but I will answer your questions in our next conference meeting. He didn’t… A number of scheduled phone calls were not kept and then I got word that as ‘I’ was not compliant our agreement would be cancelled and I would lose my deposit…
Tonette Matt was the next one – she was so damned intimidating she made me feel like I owed them my entire invention! She denied everything Tom had said. She got quite hissy with me. Then Jan Jones got involved, then a legal guy, George Crompton Jr. At other times I heard from Lynne Gottesman, Andrew Cable and Laura Cranmer – apparently, Tom Smith had had a nervous breakdown and gone AWOL – I can’t prove what happened but I think he was just one of their first cold call staff and the others were for ‘problems’ like me.
My son in law died after a few years of struggle. Davison were not directly responsible but the money I sunk into their scam was borrowed – I could have used that just to allow my daughter to spend his last few days with him! Instead, he died on the other side of the world, feeling abandoned. I will never forgive Davison for this and if the court case does go ahead (it was a case of medical negligence at the end, after a long struggle) they will certainly be summonsed. Nothing will bring him back but the scam ensured our struggle was just a bit harder.
Only when they heard this, did they finally refund the money. A little too late – it couldn’t bring our angel back, could it? And besides, the interest I had to pay and the amount I still owed chewed it up.
The damage done by Davison is immeasurable – I put so much time into this when I could ill afford it. My personal life was so difficult and while my daughter was watching her husband fade away, we hung on for promise after promise. After 6 months I was told that we still had not hit close to pre-development yet! Part of me was scared they would steal my idea but they weren’t even interested in asking me for the details. Worse still, when I said I hoped to visit the headquarters in the US, they laughed at me and backtracked saying it is not necessary and not considered part of their deal…
The damage is done but I hope they are shut down forever – the loss of my son was very much linked to their scam. Why? Because with our own battles to get him home to Australia, we went broke, his own savings were all used up – my daughter was sent back to Australia for outstaying her visa – because we could not borrow the money from anyone. We were considered a bad customer all because of the small amount I had borrowed to keep Davison happy! All we needed to get our angel here was a few thousand – and Davison ensured we could not do that.
Oh yeah, and they made sure they took a fee out before finally returning that money. I am sorry to hear of your story Billy – my guess is that they con people like us who can least afford it, while the wealthy give them a big pass. If you look on their sites, on the products advertised, they are cruddy things that are sold in 50 cent stores, that no one wants… Wish I had never heard of them…
PS Billy, please contact Dr Robert O Young in the US for your wife, As a naturopath I can fully recommend this guy – he works with cancer and diabetes successfully – and you can do it all at home, based on an alkaline diet, bicarb and water. I am not joking as I have many success stories myself. I hope she gets well soon.
If anyone knows about a joint/class action in the works please notify me because I want to see these guys closed down and compensate each of us!
My condolences go to your family.This should never of happened.I have not given them a dime yet ,and they will never get a cent from me now.When I told them that the 745 dollars was to much for me to pay all at once,the Rep told me that I could give them whatever I could, just to get the project going,When I asked how much. He just said what ever you can as long as we your money,I missed the call from him yesterday I fell asleep.I thank you all of you and especially Anon for sharing your stories with me you definitley saved me a lot of heart ache and finacial loss.I am willing to do anything I can to help with your lawsuits or any other action taken against them. We would like to address all those that attempt to imply we are some type of scam outfit – IN NO WAY IS OUR COMPANY A SCAM!!
Bloggers who are saying that the company are a scam are defaming the company unfairly. Their allegations are false, misleading and, simply put, not possible. Our brochures, affirmative disclosure notice, American Inventors Protection Act notice and written service offer agreements are extremely informative and clear. Unfortunately, we must now consider our legal position and contemplate taking legal action against them in the state of Pennsylvania. You have left us no choice but to instruct you to remove all your posts or a lawsuit will be filed.
Our 250-plus staff-members, and the families they support, don’t deserve to be mistreated by you. These bloggers and competitors should remove their slanderous posts.
You should note that scam.com is simply an advertising company and serves as a link farm that makes advertising revenue from ad placements. The managers of scam.com are not inventors nor do they offer any invention development services. They simply post anonymous and unproven content to drive their website up in the search engines and in doing so increasing their visitor totals to drive up their rate costs per ad placement. As well, they offer no type of mediation services between consumers and business – this would cost them money and they don’t want impinge upon their profit margins by exerting effort trying to help consumers and business communicate honestly.
We would like to note the fact that in the past competitors have posted false and malicious complaints about us on the internet. Instead of choosing to compete by offering economical product design, development and packaging services they have chosen to confuse consumers with false information. We don’t know if these persons are clients or not because they did not include any contact information, not even an email address. We have found in the past that competitors hide behind “internet handles” rather than out in the open where their own conduct can be questioned.
We offer economic product design and development services that mirror how manufacturers and corporations design and develop their new inventions. You are most likely not going to find better pricing than what we can offer to research, design, build and package your idea. And, like most manufacturers, we acknowledge and insist that all clients acknowledge that most ideas are not going to be profitable but that inventing demands a positive attitude and that getting a new product onto the market requires a great amount of effort.
It comes down to the “spirit of inventing”. And it is downright stupid for the posters to imply our services are a scam when our services are completely transparent.
Since we don’t know who these anonymous bloggers are, we’ll just provide an outline of the services we offer and the way that we offer them:
Step One: All customers must acknowledge the risks of invention development. In order to do so, each prospective customer is provided with an Affirmative Disclosure and an American Inventors Protection Act disclosure, which includes a description of all of our services and estimated fees. All potential clients must acknowledge that they received and read these disclosures before we accept any idea submission from them. Thereby, we ensure that the general public understands that inventing is time-consuming, costly and rarely results in profit. As a result, none of our clients reasonably can have the impression that inventing is easy and financially rewarding. Inventing can be educational, fun and exciting as long as everyone keeps in mind and tolerates the risks.
Step Two: Pre-Development Service Offer: After receipt of an invention idea we could offer to perform preliminary design research services on the project. This would include researching prior patents and other products that are for sale or have been for sale that are similar to the one submitted. Any service offer made to a potential client is made in writing. Therefore, consumers are assured of exactly what services they are purchasing and when they will receive them.
Step Three: Invention Prototype Services Offer: If the inventor does not have a professional quality sample for use, we can perform one or more services, including brainstorming new product designs, designing components, creating prototypes, building working models, virtual reality renderings, and complete product graphics and packaging. Again, any service offerings are outlined in a written contract. Therefore, clients are assured of exactly what services they are purchasing.
Step Four: Licensing Representation: Once projects are designed, built and packaged our team presents them to companies for licensing consideration. Licensing means that a manufacturer is willing to produce, distribute and sell the new product for a set number of years while the owner of the invention is compensated in royalty payments.

This is not the only site that says you have taken there money and then did not produce what you said and all the stories are similar,everything starts out fine but as soon as you get there money that is when things go bad you say ,that they might be the competitor but I have actually talked in person with a few of your clients and it is clear you have destroyed lives.Now my involvement with you was brief,but when I was interested in your company I was just looking for one good review from someone and I would have proceeded,I understand that there are some people who might a little sour because there invention did not go big or went as they thought,so If I would have found one person that would have I would have went with it but the whole entire net I could not find one good thing about your company,How do you explain this.? How do you answer of defend the actions of your reps going AWOL when people start asking about the company and it’s practices or even the accusations that your company stole the ideas of the people that either could not pay or found out they were being scammed and broke contact with you.? Can you answer any of these questions.I understand that the world is not a fair easy place but why is it I could nit find one good thing about you not one of your previous clients had one good thing to say.they all had one thing in common they were desperate and fed false hopes I am not in anyway trying to bring down your company or slander you company but the questions I have asked are fair and should be answered
Wow Davison – did you even read any of the above posts? There are many of us out there – but you would know that as to date, every few years you are forced to pay out millions in compensation to people just like me.
I welcome any action you take because I might just get some compensation for what you did. Have any of you lost a loved one? The loss of my son in law was avoidable – he was stuck in another country, unable to get here for treatment. My daughter could have used that money to be with him – she had already saved his life previously. He died because he did not have the credit to call us to tell him which medicine to take. By the time he got to hospital (he’d had to wait 24 hours as he could not afford taxi) he was too far gone. All the hospital had to do was administer IV fluids and an anti emetic. It was all down to lack of money.
Please, by all means, take action – the last time you tried that, many others benefited – the stress caused to us resulted in my daughter losing their baby and her husband. Bring it on, I say.
If anyone googles your illustrious company, all you see is a few Walmart gadgets – hardly worth squillions, are they? My complaint, and that of others on here, is not a simple blog – you did not adhere to your promises. I have kept all documentation – and it is full of holes – my own legal representative went through it with me. You do not stick to your process – if that were true, after 6 months, the 3rd or 4th staff member pretending to give a toss would have known what I had invented, would they not? This was AFTER predevelopment (ha!) had happened, and AFTER I received a congratulatory call saying a buyer had come forward. I then asked if I could come over and assist with developing the prototype (I had prototypes – and I had spoken to other inventors of similar products – they had been paid to come across and be involved…) – I was brushed aside. Then I didn’t hear from you – then I received a letter in the mail (all other communication had been via email and calls) saying that I needed to come up with thousands within days, otherwise consider our agreement null and void.
Please don’t call me or anyone else here stupid – that just shows how little respect you have for hopeful customers. My complaint is not to do with ego or money – in reality it is about someone lying to me, someone taking money for nothing – and in the end, costing the life of someone more important to us than you could imagine. Next time you hear the Soweto Gospel Choir singing, think of my daughter – who is a widow, aged 22 – and ask yourself where that handsome young man in purple is now. Davison destroyed our lives with dishonesty. Fact is, without any involvement with Davison, we would not have used that money at that time for anything other than saving his life. I have finally paid off that debt (small to Davison, immeasurable to us) but it is a very hollow achievement.
The fact is, as soon I spoke about royalties I was brushed aside. There was just no interest in my product – at all. Please, everyone – do NOT trust Davison to produce your invention. Unless you want to go broke. Not one person can be found to prove that Davison has helped them – why is that?

If you are a client, we are sure that you received our initial printed brochure, visited our website and received subsequent materials – all of which thoroughly described our services. Hello Everyone, I had wrote a comment back in May of 2011 and I was angry. I was also embarrassed that I was scammed or ripped off $745.00. What was very frustrating for me and still remains the same; I’m disabled with Multiple Sclerosis. I had done a complete drawing of my idea on a solidworks program and my purpose was to improve the lives of every individual who is physically disabled.Whether it’s from disease, birthdefect,and injuries from any inflection.
Please, everyone forgive me, I’m the worst speller, my sentences are probably fragmented or I would be considered by some; politically incorrect.However, it doesn’t stop me from speaking my mind! As with everyone on this page, you probably had the same intentions as myself; not only to improve others lives, but also yourselves.
I read many complaints about Davison, I just wish that I was ware of their past dealings, the law suit and the tactics their sales people used to obtain our money. It appears that regardlessof the complaints about Davison, the CCA always has a comment and in my opinion, blames us for being stupid for responding to their internet ads for ideas. I still receive them in my email box asking for your ideas or inventions and to mix words with thier CCA statements is a waste of time!
I’m focusing my energy in helping everyone that has been taken by the Davison Company and staff, since everyone has had the opportunity of speaking to thier Managing Senior Director of New Products team. You know exactly the script they read and the line of bull they give to obtain your money. Let us reason a factor, this isn’t the only site that has complaints against Davison and there are vital information that we can gain from the complaints; they appear to have the same rhythm and blues dialogue!
The complaints have the same frequencies, 5, 10, 30, 50 or 100 individuals having experienced the same are not lying or making false statements against Davison. People who are leaving annonymously complaints is due to the back lash and degrading statements from the CCA staff lay on us. By keeping the complaints in house is a method of control and derailment.
The information that I’m going to furnish you is to help you and give stability to the complaint I filed. I filed a complaint with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Office Of Attorney General, Bureau Of Consumer Protection, 564 Forbes Avenue, 6th Floor; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219, Phone # 412-565-5134. I have received several correspondances with an Agent Etzi and with favorable results.
I also filed with the Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Resp Dist Ctr, P.O. Box 767, Lebanon, TN 37088, with positive results as well. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Office Of Attorney General is very interested in any alligations against Davison, as well, as the Federal Trade Commission. I also have the support of a company that has had dealings with Davison, strongly expressing the total dislike for Davison and their deceptive practices.
We need to stand firm together and let these two department know what has taken place and what continues to take place. You can contact these departments on your own or you can send them to me and I can submit them under my case number. I will check back later to see if anyone is interest!

I want to thank you for your imput and I truly understand your complaint against the Davison or Davison & Design. I’m sorry that it has taken so long to get back with you and anyone trying to seek assistances in obtaining any form of relief from Davsion company. I’m so truly sorry for your daughter losing her baby and her husband and for you losing your son-in-law.
I had to repsonse to the Attorney Gererals Office in regards to my complaints against Davison. Thou Davison Counsel took out of context wording in my formal complaint, they did refund my money in full after returning the portfilio. Now in fairness, my issue wasn’t of the DVD, my issues was the research and the patents they gathered and the deceptive tactics of the “Director of New Products”.
I was not forced or harassed by thier CCA from Davison and nor was I ordered to remove my statements under the threat of a law suit. I to would have said, “bring it on” and I still have proof of thier deceptive practices. I believe everyone with an idea or an invention is trying to better or improvve the lives of people and also have finanical benefits for themselves. Lets face it, who wouldn’t want to profite from your idea or design, Davison wants a piece of the pie.
Agent David Etzi did call me after Davison informed them, they have refunded the money in full. I asked Mr. David Etzi, “How can I help others in the same situation that I was in”? He stated, “Direct your complaints to thier department, so they can investigate the complaint. The complaints need to come to their department, the more the better! One complaint isn’t enough to have a huge impact on Davsion”.
My complaint with all the facts, brought up a red flag. I did summit numerous complaints off the internet, from this page and several other websites. In my opinion, I have noticed that the CCA monitors allot of the websites that complain against their company. If the company was ethical, legitimate, why would they have so many complaints against them and why would they monitor these website so closely? Why would they be making such unethical threats to those individuals who have a legitimate right to complain? Interesting!
This statement is for everyone; If you talk with Davison and they have you open up the confidentiality document. Pay close attention to Clients Obligation, read it very carefully, this should bring up a BIG RED FLAG and when you get to the DISCLAIMER: Read it and stop – go no further! This is where the company will get you, it doesn’t matter what their sales people tell you! Do not give them a penny, if you give them a dime, you have lost it! I made the mistake of listening to their sales rep con me into believing I had nothing to worry about! My idea or invention was outstanding, it’s unique, can’t believe no one else had thought of it, don’t worry we have means to get around it; especially when I question the Clients Obligation and the Disclaimer. When I asked for my refund, the rep threw those particular examples of Clients Obligation and Disclaimer in my face. The same exact rep, who told me no to worry about it – theres more going behind the scences of Davison than what people know about!
Save yourself the stress, the heartache, losing your homes, life savings because this is the fact. Legitimate company will not ask you for money, you will sign a disclosure form, but no money will be exchanged. If they want to use your idea, then the discussion will be between you and the company. If you want an attorney envolve in the final documents, that is advisable.
Please, Please read carefully the Client Obligation and Disclaimers and don’t give a dime. Research, Research, clever sales reps are exceptional at what they do! Most sales reps have no conscious, it’s sales and money. Believe me, I was in sales for a company and that is all they were concerned about. Clients were lairs, they had money and it was your job to get if from them!
I lack the imagination I suppose to invent something so I would never be in a position to be burned by these weasels. I have, however, a great nose for wrongdoers and these fools stink all the way here in Louisiana. I fell into this discussion and the several dozen other consumer websites complaining about the lies, which are seemingly the only thing manufactured at Davison, fake names and false hopes purposely dangled before hopeful innocents reaching out for help, by searching for a weasel I went to high school with. His name is Gary Yarber and his name came up as “Director of New Products” at this company. I went there out of my boundless curiosity and now see that every sleazy salesperson at this company is a “Director of New Products.” More laughable of course is the idiot who scurries around all these valuable websites trying to put out the fires (and apparently sneaks behind the scene threatening people) who calls herself “Chief Consumer Advocate” (sick no?)

Your fancy words don’t undo the damage you did to my family and others above (and I am sure many others who do not know of this page). At no stage was I told in conversation or writing that promises would not be adhered to. In fact I was told on 3 different occasions that my product was in pre-development and awaiting patent, whatever that means – then received an excited call advising someone had made an offer to buy my product. I had not yet given ingredient details to my health product and offered to come over to see your supposed premises (? Davisonland ?) – and was then told I needed to pay money – yet nowhere in my official looking folder did it say I had to pay anyone anything. Not once did they ask for the makeup of the product – in fact I was told it was not needed and the spiel put to me during each phone call was identical to the last – reading no doubt. I then received a call from the 3rd different agent/actor saying before Davison would take another step I needed to cough up big money – the agent/actor laughed loudly when I said I had not been advised of any further cost on my part – ever. Her comment to the tune of ‘So you not only expect Davison to make and promote your product, you want us to pay?’ Well yes, that was the original promise – the site and the staff made me feel that I had found someone to finally put my product on the map. Funny how the Walmart pics haven’t changed – just a few average inventions it would seem….
I was talking to a Davison representative about my idea, but I dropped her. I can indeed assure you I was going to send in my idea, and pay good money. I have emails to prove it. However, I found what these people had to say, and I knew right then, it was a scam.
I’m just glad I didn’t send in my hard earned money.

I received by e mail this Mr George Davison on line video, mmmm maybe i was to quick to repulse this gentle sweet toothed guy Davison s New product manager. named Shawn Miner.
I received a second on line video link, showing me this lady with her creative idea, and the royalty cheque, perhaps the eye s were to big, i had seen away of making money, at no money loss to myself, all payments would be made by increasing my royalties to Davison, and at the end a patent.
This guy missed Monday night prearranged transatlantic call, it never materialized, then i drew back and gave it some thought, working in many countries, certain countries have a law what is called 419, a number given in English law for, robbers, tricksters, rogues, cheater, many other names all within skull duggery. I knew how stupid i have been. This Shawn Miner was doing a scam on me.
Not 10 minutes ago this scammer called me. best as i dare write F… O.. I then was submitted to a non stop barrage of calls.

I Was 18 when they contacted me because I checked a Box and wrote them on a Pop up add Online was Contacted a few days later and told them my Idea Which I had already written down and drawn Out and named On another Follow up Call they said theyd like to suggest that I Go another direction with it I had a Job at the time tried to Get in Contact with them a few More time the Guy Was always Busy or they didnt Answer and about a Year or a yr and a few Months Later Playdoh had a Product exactlty to the Tee of My Original Concept and Had Patent Pended and Pretty Sure Still Does I am now 23… Sucks Dont TRUST THEM!!! & Hey Guess What Davison Got a Bunch More Up in This Mind Of Mine That You WILL NOT Have anything to do with Cant Wait Till You get Smart Schemes eventually Blow up in your face or come to a head and alll that $$$ you made you get Put to Where it Belongs!

George Davison is a CROOK. He trains his “brain dead” employees to “RIP YOU OFF”. He has many companies, NOT ONE OF THEM is legitimate. His ONLY goal is to scam as much money as he can from you and then he will disappear with your money and your invention idea. All LIES, promises they never intend to keep, they DON’T WANT YOU TO SUCEED, they charge you thousands of dollars “UP FRONT” and then they CHANGE your idea into a worthless piece of crap that “THEY KNOW” no one would buy. George Davison and quite a few “Government Officials” have come to the end of the line and he knows it. DO NOT give one penny to any company owned by this crook.
