I run a photography and freelance writing business and after advertising my photography services I received a response from someone who I believed was legit. Not so.

This person requested my service, ask for a detailed quote (time consuming) and after everything was set up offered to send a check. Usually not a problem, however, after receiving a ton of scams via email on the Versa Gold Scam I refused to accept the check since the potential client said that he was out of the country and his assistant would be sending a check via UPS. My mailing address is a P.O. Box so UPS will not deliver to it. I requested him to have his assistant to send it via USPS and have it registered. He explained that UPS is their ONLY shipping option. I refused to accept the check and refused to offer my services to them. It may or may not have been a scam, but I believe in my gut that it was considering they said UPS was their only shipping option and they refused to give me any contact information. They did however give me the address of the event, somewhere in Charlottesville, VA. That could’ve been anyone’s home though.

The person said their name was Phyllis Robert with the email of phy.robert1881@gmail.com

This message is very important and is the reason why l have sent it to you by attached. l believe you may have received similar email before but l ask that you consider my request as this is not one of those fraudulent emails that even l have occasionally received to my email inbox.

Please open the attachments to this email and forward your response to my private email address as follows: mr.collinsthwala2010@gala.net
    Kind regards.
