Everyone there is a scammer out there, he could go by many names but do not fall for it! He went by Bobby Marcus, or Trudy Young, or whatever and he claims that he needs a babysitter for his twin boys. He will offer you alot of money. Do not fall for it! He somehow scammed my sister who wanted to babysit out $4500 before she found out! Please take caution! Scammers are using kids now to trick you so dont fall for it. Anyone who sends you a check, check it out first! Do not cash the check in. It will come out of your bank account. Just wanted to warn all the other innocent people out there. I am Bobby Marcus working as a system analyst for DELL COMPUTERS INC,UK.I came across your ad on craigslist as a good caregiver for infants.I’m impressed with your work,hence I would want to leave my KIDS in your care everyday as I would accompany 3 other delegates for an inspection tour of one of our mini-stores located near you.The inspection tour implies that I leave my hotel every morning (8:30am)to the venue and report back home at 5pm.This would make it difficult to take care of my KIDS,hence the reason I solely picked you up to secure you for the task. 1. Deduct $2500 which covers the amount for your services of babysitting my KIDS while you send the rest of the funds to the store agent who would be supplying you with the KIDS items tomorrow evening via Overnight courier.
2.Proceed to a nearby Western union outlet with the remaining funds for the store manager and have it sent Western Union to the store with the below information:

I would reimburse you back immediately I arrive.Treat this message with utmost priority as I want all setup and in place prior to my arrival with the KIDS.

Information reaching me from the store manager indicated that some of the kids items are currently unavailable and it should be in store within 2-3 days or thereabout for onward delivery . Trudy was asking me if she could send the ones that are ready to you and I disagreed because I like doing things in full. You are going to receive a payment tomorrow. Be expecting it , and once you have it, you will deduct $2500 being the cost of your charges to take care of Peter and Paul and additional $300 its just a token in appreciation of your kind gesture . I am going to tell you what to do with the rest funds by tomorrow .

This is where she finally caught on. Please do not let this happen to you. She is young and they do not prey on the elderly anymore. They prey on innocent people and kids. i was almost scammed by the same type of thing. This person used the name Micheal Lukas. email address [email protected]. he/she found me advertising babysitting services on craigslist.com. what tipped me off to search google was the fact that he wanted to send me money in one lump sum prior to even meeting me.
BEWARE OF JOSH PETRELLI….i thought i found a great job opportunity and his e-mails are IDENTICAL to all of these scam ones….i havent recieved a check yet
So I just received the check.. but am realizing its a scam.. should I just not do anything with it? WHat should I do? The information isnt adding up.. to the name of the person asking for my babysitting services, to the name of the sender of the funds, and now the name of the company on the check… it doesnt add up.. but what do I do??

yeah so I havent checked on it in a while but it seems so were scammed and google has helped I have gotten a lot of checks to haven’t cashed any but still I contacted two of the names. which were not on the e-mails. the name one was a surgeon in or. and he was so hapy I called him I just googled his name and location and called he was so happy I though it was a fake account but it was real and it would have went through..what a jerk..the guy didnt even give me a reward though and he is mega rich whatever not why i did it but I very obviously needed it and thought it wasn’t cool to not even offer but anyway I am so glad I posted this so you all will get the name caught
I got the same thing from a BILL CLARK. [email protected] I deposited the check a couple days ago and thanks to my husband stopping me, I did not Western Union $1900 to the supposed person he purchased toys, clothes, and a carseat from. I’m not sure what to do now that I’ve deposited the money????? And I gave this ding dong my address! Thank GOD I have a German Shepherd!!
I fell for the same thing!! Except this time it was under the alias of Laura Mills, another under Richard Harly, and the last is Cole Tobi…… Each of them sent me a $2,850 check in which I was supposed to take out my first weeks pay of $500 and send the remainder to their travel agents.. All of which DO NOT EXIST! These people are saying they are from Ireland, Spain, and the UK.. Richard Harly’s check got delivered to the wrong house(thank god for fed ex!! lol), I’ve sadly already cashed and sent the remaining funds via Western Union to Laura Mills and even had to send her MY $500 to help with her flight((serrriously peeved about that!)).. and Cole, he’s been calling me, swearing that he is a good christian…. No GOOD CHRISTIAN would hurt SO MANY GOOD PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why must people be so damned wrongful!!

Ok so these scammers must be getting smarter. I got scammed sort of the same way. I found an ad in our local paper for a nanny position for three kids and they were going to pay $480 a week! I e-mailed this person they e-mailed me almost a week later and said…

Responding to Rachael Stumes post about the Alex Roedel scam.. I contacted him also and was stupid and feel for it. Have kept all the emails that we have sent to each other. I received my first check this week and cashed it, kept my 10% like he said and sent the rest to the person he told me to send it to. He also told me to make copies of the money order along with all the receipts for my records.. Just found all these things now and beginning to wonder if it truly is a scam or it this one is actually for real??

I’m so sorry to hear that you fell victim to this mans scam. Unfortunately the check is going to clear your bank but will soon come back as a fraudulent check. He’s probably going to try to send you more checks. I would contact your bank and let them know that you were the victim of a scam explain to them the check is going to bounce and what happened… Maybe they can help you but ultimately you will be responsible for the check…. DONT CASH ANYMORE CHECKS!

This scam is similar to the one first reported by Rachael Stumes but combines components of previously run scams (the first name Micheal, for example) and then the bait-and- switch MO involving working for Conti Fibre.
When you respond to the ad, MICHEAL WELLS (yes, you read that correctly) will send you an email written in poor English on a job that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the posting in the newspaper. He will send you an email outlining this completely different job (email included below). I think it’s like a mystery shopper although his written English was so poor I couldn’t really figure out WHAT this new job was I just knew it was not the job I had applied for. He will also request you send him more personally identifying information.
The email this time around is [email protected] and the ad also included a phone number that when you call it connects to a google talk account. Micheal texted me back and said it was better to apply using his email.
It is unconscionable to take advantage of the unemployed in this manner during this time of hard economic times. The old adage remains: if it’s too good to be true, it probably is. I hope this post helps someone.
