You see what he is doing is sending you an email asking you about the item. The item is not mentioned anywhere in the email. You see a real Craigslist reply has you actual listing title in the email somewhere, usually as the subject. So that caught my attention first. Second is that he includes a link in the body of his text trying to get you to click on it. When you do, a login screen for “Craigslist” pops up. I would advice you to not put in your info. I have never once received a real Craigslist email that requires my login info. Craigslist themselves even warn against these type of emails. They have the info on the REAL login screen above the boxes where you type your info. I could be wrong about this guy, but all the evidence needed to believe he is a scammer has been presented.

This is at the top of every reply to your ad. IT’S THERE FOR A REASON PEOPLE!!! This forum is testament as to WHY. Do yourself a favor, be patient, and wait for someone who is local, someone who CALLS you after you instruct them to so as to arrange time and place for meeting, and someone that WILL meet, and most important, that they have CASH MONEY. Anyone who refuses to meet cuz they are so busy or unable to, is scamming you. Anyone who won’t call you but continues to mail, is a scammer. Anyone offering anything but cash, is a scammer. And anyone who isn’t local, or within a reasonable drive, is most likely a scammer. Why buy something from someone two states away, with no promises that you will get your item or that it will be the way the ad describes, when you can go on eBay for just as cheap and get 100% buyer and seller protection?

Be smart people. Deal locally, within 2hours drive distance, if that doesnt bother you, and cash only.
