Charles Richard Sanchez On December 26 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 2604 Lodi Circle in reference to an armed disturbance. Upon arrival deputies spoke with the victim who indicated she and her three children were home with her boyfriend when they got into a physical altercation. Her boyfriend, Charles Sanchez tried to stab her with a knife before fleeing the residence. The victim told deputies she and her boyfriend have been dating for approximately 2 months. They moved to Kissimmee together from Ohio after she began having problems with the father of one of her children. Sanchez told the victim he worked for Homeland Security and was sent from the government to place her and her children in the witness protection program. Since moving to Kissimmee Sanchez did not allow the victim to leave his sight. She and the children were not allowed to lock any of the doors in the house and Sanchez had a key to every lock. On this particular night, Sanchez disconnected all of the lights in the house which frightened the children. The victim called 911 when Sanchez became violent.

Deputies canvassed the neighborhood and located Sanchez a short distance away. Sanchez cooperated with authorities and even indicated the entire incident was videotaped but deputies were unable to locate a surveillance camera or video. Sanchez was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault and False Imprisonment. He was taken to the Osceola County jail with no bond.
