I knew right away it was a scammer as they use yahoo as the ending e-mail address. They are from Nigeria Laos and will use other people’s cell phones, etc. They get into your computer and bank account and draw on you especially if you are a loner. Please be careful.
Unfortuantely nothing we can do here in America. FBI, etc have no jurisdication in Nigeria and they know it. But it is a poor country and teenagers have laptops and set in an airport and pray on people all day along.

There should be a check on these type of fraudulant mails and strict punishments should be granted under criminal acts, so that such type of internet fraudulant activities should be stopped.

Amazing how everything looks ‘ bona fide ‘ – Knew straightaway this ONE was a HOAX as a friend received a similar one telling her she had won US$100,000- second prize in a lottery from Paradise Travel ( http://www.paradise-tr.com ) Lottery results even showed list of prizes & who sponsored them . When we checked out her prize provider on the Net-found it was a falsely given name ( surprise surprise!) ,Genuine company in Macau had a full blurb about it – can check it out @ http://www.galaxyentertainment.com .

I received the same email from this “Volkswagen Motors Worldwide” website. I wonder if Volkswagen of America is aware that some scammers are using their name to defraud people?
I received this scam sunday 11 october. I’m quite cynical about such things but did succumb to a momentary sense of ‘good luck’. I was not at all surprised when a Google search found this blog. It’s a cruel con !!
I received this e-mail also . Who I feel sorry for are the older folks that really believe in all these scams, because the scams are getting more sofisticated. And the older folks are thinking they are real. This is the most realistic one that I have gotten yet. I don’t what can be done about these scams I do know however that when my mother gets a scam she fowards it to the Attorney General maybe that will help but I really dought it. Also I don’t know how they get away with using proffecional names like Volkswagne or The FBI please. We need to stick together and put this people behing bars.

I got this today. To my surprise, I have won one million and fifty thousand ponds!!! I can’t wait to dip into my winnings. Who knew?? I don’t even drive and they giving me some small change and best of all, I didn’t have to do a thing :-).

I received this scam too 1-4-2010, they want £450 initial upfront via western union, then will release £150,000 a month, good scam, i was nearly fooled into it, what details can they get by submitting your mobile number to them?, do i need to change bank acc details to stop them hacking into my account?
I received this message as well, angers me how they can do this to people. They asked for you to reply with your
-full name
-age
-gender
-marital status etc.
obviously so they could steal your identity or something, such a shame tecnhology is used for such illegal things.
I got it on 24 Sept,2010. I had never rec such email and I was thinking I had never been so lucky either, indeed, it will be too good to be true… thanks for this scamm report which I went thro the search to find out how true abt their msg…
cos there is no FREE LUNCH in this world… God will definately punish to those who has sin… we cant do much of it… let HIM do the rest… cos HE KNOWs…..

I also received this mail. There are some desperate people out there.
I also receive this mail,just wanna try then i suddenly fill in the required detail including A/C no.When come to the last step of MONEY TRANSFER,suddenly DIALOG BOX appear that i must put in COST OF TRANSFER CODE.I ask back by e-mail.Then new story comes out,COMMISSIONER OF OATH WITH BRITISH HIGH COURT LETTER HEAD,stated that if i wanna make the fund transfer,must pay the cost of pound sterling 1000 GBP then they will provide the code.Then somebody claims that the banker official BNP PARIBAS BANK call me twice asking for the C.O.T.Lucky that i found this page and can share with all people over the world.
BEWARE OF SCAM
I received same email and I almost believe it. Good thing my daughter googled it and found out its a scam. Patricia Peng used different surname in my email. its Patricia Angello.
@Min Manih: Good thing I didn’t go that far. I would have been as mad as hell. The saddest thing is that even with the existence of scam radar, there’s still a lot of scamming going on. Those guys just can’t give up.
Just received it today, with a change of address (they’ve moved to Milton Keynes) and a different prize (850,000 pounds, as if). Also changed the sender to VOLKSWAGEN PROMOTION DEPARTMENT. [[email protected]], and signed as Mr. Fenn Corrales and Mrs. Ellen Van Leuven.
I do hope these nice people will catch a virus or something.
