But who does win with this scam type?
To discount this check only the Bank collects the fees.
Many banks now do not charge any fees for their account holders to cash checks. So… no, the banks don’t make the money from this scammers. Even then, they can’t make any money if it’s fake.
It’s the scammers that make money if someone falls for their scheme. Unfortunately, many others still fall for this scam because of the lure of a large amount of money.
In europe and seconding instructions of the EUROPEAN UNION the banks are collecting 0. 1% and that means that the banks profited 86 Euros in each process.
