“Mr. Ben Mark”

Greetings,

I understand that through Internet is not the best way to link up with you because of the confidentiality which my proposal demands.

However, I have already sent you this same letter one month ago, but I am not sure if it did get to you since I have not heard from you, hence i am constrain to reach you through the Internet which has been abused over the years.

I wish to notify you again that You were listed as a Heir to the total sum of (Three Million Six Hundred Thousand British Pounds) in the codicil and last testament of the deceased.(Name now withheld since this is our second letter to you). I contacted you because you bear the surname identity and therefore can present you as the Heir to the inheritance funds.

I therefore reckoned that you could receive these funds as you are qualified by your name identity. All the legal papers will be processed in your acceptance. In your acceptance of this deal, we request that you kindly forward to us your letter of acceptance; your current telephone and fax numbers and a forwarding address to enable us file necessary documents at our high court probate division for the release of this sum of money.

Please indicate your interest immediately for us to proceed. I shall feed you with full details of this transaction upon receipt of your reply towards this proposal.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. Ben Mark (Barrister)

Just wanted to let you know that I recieved this email from Mr. Ben Mark (Barrister)
Today, Jan. 24, 2009. I’m of English decent and I think this is why I was targeted. Thankyou for having this scam listed it helps to know that somehow I’m not missing out on a family inheritance, though I knew that if it was for real, Iknow someone would have tracked me down the normal way.

Thanks again for the help and thanks to Peter Wall for adding this scam to your site!

Hi, an elderly gentleman of my acquaintance just got this one – almost the exact same wording. He got his on Sat 17 Jan 2009, in Australia.
Thank you for having it listed, I told him I thought it was a scam, but wasn’t 100% sure until I saw this.
    Much appreciated!

Hi, me also got today this spam. Just a couple of guys from Nigeria who have standard mails. Even if you answer like ” From Nigeria, I guess? you will get the second mail. Funny, except for people who believe it and loose a lot of money.

I got same e-mails, I get these e-mails regularly, it’s unbelievable no action is taken to these people as it must be possible to trace as also those who became victim must have more inputs. Anyhow I always try to get some more information as sometimes they even give existing bank names etc as then I contact the bank to see if they can take action. Anyhow seems they can just continue with this.
